« The Psalmist prophetically taking a standpoint of observation future from his day declared, “The Lord reigneth, let the earth rejoice ; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.” As has been shown, this began to be true in 1878, when our returned Lord Jesus took unto himself his great power. Yet not until 1915, when his kingdom will be fully set up and established in the earth, will his glorious reign be fully manifested and recognized. But that the prophet is referring specially to the present time, since 1878 and down to 1915, is clear from his succeeding statement—“Clouds and darkness are round about him : righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies.” » — Magazine : Zion’s watch tower and herald of Christ’s presence, January 1896, page [1913] § 1.
