« We have just been permitted to spend, two pleasant days with the friends in Pittsburg and Alleghany. The beautiful Carnegie Hall, the gift of Andrew Carnegie to the city of Alleghany, was placed at the service of the convention, and was well filled, especially during the afternoons and evenings. Through the liberality of the Pittsburg and Alleghany friends, every arrangement that was necessary for the comfort and efficiency of the convention was complete. [...] Mr. W. H. Conley, the whole-hearted and most generous friend of all good work and especially of the Alliance work, spared no pains to contribute in every way to the success of the meetings and was ably seconded and assisted by many other kind hearts and hands. » — Magazine : The christian alliance and missionary weekly, Western Conventions., January 23 1891, page 1 § 1.
